I am just writing to say that once I eventually worked out how to use it, it is simplicity itself, and I am living proof that it is simple for blind people to use as well.

Without a shadow of a doubt I will be ordering all and any CD's that you bring out, it is the most perfect way of learning guitar lead that I have ever seen.

Finally, I would like to thank you for all the help I was given along the way, and hope that you bring out many more CD's. Thank you

Scottie

Deep Purple
Deep Purple is one of the first hard rock bands from London, England that went through many transitions since their inception in 1968. The group has to use a nomenclature to define, which members of the band were behind which album utilizing a scheme of "Mark numbers" abbreviated as Mark I, II, III up to VII. The name Deep Purple was borrowed from the title of a song composed by Peter De Rose. In spite of all transitions, the group has gone through, they are one of the most famous and influential hard rock bands in the present day history. Today, Deep Purple unwaveringly carries on as one of history's most creative, longest-lived, and the hardest touring hard rock as well as heavy metal bands.
Deep Purple guitar riff from their biggest hit " Smoke on the water" remains #1 in Digital Dreamdoor's 100 Greatest Rock Guitar Riffs. The song is known for one of the most appealing Deep Purple guitar lead that is perhaps the single most legendary riff in hard rock history. The celebrated Deep Purple guitar lick is played on electric guitar by Ritchie Blackmore, which is immediately joined by drums and electric bass before the start of Ian Gillan's powerful vocals. The remarkable repeat of the riff is recreated in the second part of the song with Jon Lord striking back the guitar part on Hammond organ played through distorted Marshall guitar amp and creating a very similar tone to the guitar. The calculated use of the riff only as a break between the vocal sections prevents it from becoming monotonous and generates stimulation when it re-enters. The song itself is so amazingly composed that it builds up on verses and then, the elated chorus gives the soothing effect to the listener.
Deep Purple's "Smoke on the water" also has an interesting story behind it. During 1972, Deep Purple was planning to record their album "Machine Head" at a casino in Montreax using the Rolling Stones' mobile recording truck. There was a freak accident at the casino that razed the entire complex to ground and it all started with some lunatic firing a flare gun into the ceiling where Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention were playing. Deep Purple was having a jamming session just across the river from the casino and watched the entire incidence. This accident is known to have inspired the classic "Smoke on the water" and the man behind the song is Ian Gillan. The album was eventually recorded at the nearby Grand Hotel. Machine Head has remained the band's most classic album, with big hits and fan-favorites like Highway Star, Space Truckin', Lazy and of course Smoke on the Water. After the roaring success of Machine Head, Deep Purple released "Made in Japan" that was a compilation of their concerts in Osaka and Tokyo. Even today, it is still one of rock music's most popular live concert recordings.
Ian Gillan, Steve Morse, Roger Glover, Don Airey, Ian Paice and Ritchie Blackmore are the big band's most prominent players. With many major hit singles like "Hush", "Kentucky Woman", "River Deep - Mountain High", "Black Night", "Strange Kind of Woman", "Fireball" and albums, both in the U.K. and the U.S.A. Deep Purple released another outstanding and adventurous album "Rapture of the Deep" in October 2005 with a special 2CD Edition that followed in June 2006.
