I am just writing to say that once I eventually worked out how to use it, it is simplicity itself, and I am living proof that it is simple for blind people to use as well.

Without a shadow of a doubt I will be ordering all and any CD's that you bring out, it is the most perfect way of learning guitar lead that I have ever seen.

Finally, I would like to thank you for all the help I was given along the way, and hope that you bring out many more CD's. Thank you

Scottie

Joe Walsh - Funk #49
The history of rock 'n roll music will not be complete without the mention of Funk #49; one of the greatest songs of all times, produced by The James Gang band that remains an all time favorite of music lovers. Simplicity of the lyrics and catchy Funk #49 guitar lick contribute to the unparalleled popularity of the song, which became a major hit single in 1969. The group started of as a rock band in Cleveland Ohio in 1966 and the original members were drummer Jim Fox, bassist Tom Kriss, guitarist Ronnie Silverman, keyboardist Phil Giallombardo, and guitarist Glen Schwartz. In 1968 Joe Walsh ("Life in the Fast Lane" and "Hotel California" with the Eagles) replaced Schwartz when Schwartz left the band to join Pacific Gas & Electric. Addition of Walsh proved to be the catalyst that brought the band to the forefront of progressive Rock N Roll.
Walsh was the trigger point that instilled a new zeal and zest into the band, which released its debut album Yer' later that year. With Walsh on the reigns and Dale Peters replacing Tom Kriss on bass, The James Gang experienced the explosion point in their career with the release of second album "James Gang Rides Again" in 1969, which went on to grab the gold status within a short time. The focal point of the album was hit single "Funk #49" that is a classic rock staple even today; almost 4 decades later. Just like "Rock N Roll will never die", the power and popularity of the song will go on forever. In the early '70s, it led the band to become one of the most sought after and the pinnacle of hard-rock acts in America. After two more gold albums, Thirds, with the hit single "Walk Away", and James Gang Live in Concert, Walsh left the band to pursue solocareer and later joined The Eagles. Joe Walsh, a great Guitarist and vocalist, had taken the James Gang from obscurity to heights of stardom.
After Walsh's departure, the band went through many transitions while continuing to release more albums; Straight Shooter (October 1972), Bang (December 1973), Miami (September 1974), Newborn (May 1975) and Jesse Come Home (February 1976). The James Gang "classic" lineup (Walsh, Peters, Fox) reunited and "rode again" to perform at an election rally for Bill Clinton in 1996. They have also appeared on "The Drew Carey Show" in the 1998-99 season and performed at Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in February 2001, drawing fans from all over the world. In April 2006 it was announced that the original lineup of Funk #49 (Walsh/Peters/Fox) would be touring the United States later this year.
The top 20 hit Funk #49 remains a legendary hard rock song even today. Funk #49 band tab represents a distinct style of music with syncopated rhythms, prominent percussion, thick bass line, razor-sharp rhythm guitars and strong vocals. The sensational Funk #49 guitar solo, complementing the three straightforward verses of vocals, makes the song very appealing to any fan of rock music.
